Laura Letinsky
This is a photo by Laura Letinsky, the aftermath of a meal. Letinsky focuses on the plate and left over food/crumbs on the plate by using a good use of composition which is what I tried to recreate myself with my picture below. In the above photo you can see a good use of composure and lighting.
My Response
I tried to replicate this by putting some crumbs onto a plate to make it look like someone has just finished eating something like toast or an energy bar.
WWW: I think I did well with the composure
EBI: I think the lighting could've been better and it could've been more creative

Above is another photo by Letinsky. In this photo Letinsky is using balance. I like it because it uses quite calm colours and it is not too excessive.
This is my response which is also using balance because the bowls are balancing on top of one another.

Jan Groover
This photo is inspired by Jan Groovers kitchen utensils piece. I like this piece by Groover because of the abstractness of it and also all of the colours and things to focus on. Though I dislike how close up his photos are taken Because there is not much background.
This is my response of the work by Jan Groovers.
WWW: close up and similar to Groovers
EBI: I do not think it is as high quality and it quite unfocused.

Robert Holden
This is the picture by Robert Holden of the things he would save in a fire.
This is my response of the things I would save in a fire, I chose these items because they are important to me and I value them very highly
Luke Stevenson
This is an example of Stevenson's work.
This is my response to Andre Kertez's work of a fork resting
This slideshow is inspired by Luke Stevenson who did this but with cornflakes (7000 of them) and he is showing that they are all different which could have a deeper meaning.
Edward Weston
This is a photograph taken by Weston that is of a lettuce but he has used control of the light and a strange looking vegetable to create this picture.
This is my slideshow of my unedited photos

This is my response to Weston, I used a black background and took pictures of vegetables and made them black and white to create an illusionary effect.
These photographs was inspired by Edward Weston's one of his lettuce

Development
I like Ed Ruscha's work because it, like Andre Kertez, makes the ordinary extraordinary and I like this style of photography because it gives you the ability to make everyday items into great photos. Above is some of my work inspired by his which is below.
I also like Steve Purnell because all he uses everyday glasses and a pattern behind it and makes very cool and interesting patterns . I also like the vividness of the colours in his work and the simplicity of it. Some of his work is below.
